David Constantine-Vol1-coverDavid Constantine, Motivation and the Multisport Wheelchair has been prepared in consultation with David Constantine to provide an overview of Motivation’s work in developing wheelchairs for developing countries and its more recent involvement in the design and manufacture of affordable mobility devices intended to greatly widen participation in sporting activities for the disabled.

 

Topic 3: Everyday Objects: Pop-up Books

Pop-up History Vol1 coverA Brief History of Pop-up Books documents the development of the pop-book from their early origins to their rapid growth from the 1980s onwards. It includes references to Victorian Tunnel books and the pre-war ‘Bookano Stories’, together with the pioneering work of Voytech Kubasta and Jan Pienowski, amongst others.

 

Topic 4: Designers at Work: Robert Sabuda

Robert Sabuda Vol1 coverRobert Sabuda This volume presents a sequence of Sabuda’s Pop-up books, showing how the style and complexity of his work developed over time, focussing on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The volume concludes with a description of the design and production of pop-up books.
